Welcome, have a seat and get comfortable. I know, it can be a little difficult to settle down these days, but we suggest taking in our site with a warm drink, a soft blanket, and a hefty dose of relaxation.

Here at Mug o’ Milk, we know how tough things can be, lately. Pandemics, wars, personal losses—it gets overwhelming after a while, doesn’t it?

That’s why we’re here. Consider our site a little resting point, so you can stop, smell the roses, and remember that not everything is so dire. There’s still some good out there in the world.

Finding Peace in Bad Situations

A few years ago, I wouldn’t have dreamed of running a website like this. I was a hotshot lawyer, working late and keeping up with the news, the stock market, everyone’s business . . . you get the idea. And eventually, it burned me out. I could barely get out of bed in the morning. So, I quit my job, I closed my firm, and I left.

I was lucky enough to have little family and friends to leave behind worrying, but honestly, I was just ready to start fresh. I traveled the world for a few years, seeking the thing I was missing that never seemed to show up.

It was during my travels that I realized what I was missing—peace of mind

Giving the World a Smile

There I was, standing on a beach on the other side of the world from my old home, one that had caused me more worry than comfort. I had less than I ever had, but somehow, I’d never been happier.

I realized there that I spent too much time worrying about all the bad things happening in the world. We’re all entitled to worries about the world and our lives, but I realized it was eating me up inside.

While I was splashing in the surf and watching the sun set, I thought up the first concepts for a new program.

Read On for Feel-Good Stories

Staying knowledgeable about the world around you is good, but sometimes, we all need a little break, and that includes myself. Because of this, I’ve decided to spend my days curating feel-good stories. Sometimes, you just want something warm and good for the soul, like a mug of warm milk on a sleepless night. We thought about chicken soup, but of course, that’s already taken.

Need a little pick-me-up after the long stream of unhappy news? It’s just a click away. So climb into your comfiest pajamas, making yourself a snack, and enjoy stories of friendship, love, and comfort from around the world.
